His Divine Grace, Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev Goswami Maharaja, succeeded Srila Guru Maharaja as the Sevaite, President and Acharya of Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math. Srila Govinda Maharaja acknowledged Srila Guru Maharaja’s empowering Bhakti Sudhir Goswami to initiate disciples and expressed his own approval and authorization for Goswami Maharaja to initiate disciples and act as a Guru for Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math.

Srila Govinda Maharaja named Bhakti Sudhir Goswami a member of the Acharya Board on March 7, 2010.

 

Empowered to Initiate by Guru Maharaja + Gurudeva

1) The following is the transcription of the audio of Srila Bhakti Rakshak Dev Goswami Maharaja, Srila Guru Maharaja, authorizing Bhakti Sudhir Goswami to act as Guru and initiate disciples into his line of Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math.

You will give initiation in general, but any particular case you may take to me, otherwise you will be there locally. In general, local people, I am giving my consent — deal with them; the responsibility I am transferring to you. [May 6, 1982]

2) Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev Goswami authorized Bhakti Sudhir Goswami to initiate on his behalf:

He is already directly empowered by Srila Guru Maharaja to initiate. But if he will act as my ritvik, I will be very happy.

Before his disappearance, Srila Govinda Maharaja, authorized Bhakti Sudhir Goswami to act as Guru of Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math and initiate disciples:

If Goswami Maharaja will act as a Guru of Chaitanya Saraswat Math that will be very good. Guru Maharaja was attached with Goswami Maharaja. Five vigraha Goswami Maharaja first gave me: Search for Sri Krishna: Reality the Beautiful; Sri Guru and His Grace; Golden Volcano of Divine Love; Loving Search for the Lost Servant; Subjective Evolution of Consciousness.  Five; he gave me five Deities. 3) On March 7, 2010 Srila Govinda Maharaja named Bhakti Sudhir Goswami as a member of the Acharya Board of Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math. Srila Gurudeva named five Acharya members:

They will say that Goswami Maharaja is the root of all evil… a nasty fellow, but I see him as one of those who are the very lovers of the ideal. I think Bhakti Sudhir Goswami’s position is such. He’s has got so much confidence in me… He told, if I am allowed to remain with your association, I must be allowed to speak the truth; but if you come to interfere there, I will leave your association. I love my ideal the best. He is saying this openly; at the cost of everything, I shall try to follow the highest ideal. That is the be all and end all of my life.

Goswami Maharaja has an independent and solid basis; not like some, who are encouraged by others for the time being; it is not like that. He is man of real solid propaganda position; understanding and preaching — both, in a solid basis. From the beginning to the end; he understands everything.

The strongest is Bhakti Sudhir Goswami; he is the most firm, he started the independent movement.

Your spiritual master, our revered Swami Maharaja, preached about the noble and magnanimous mercy of Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu from door to door in the Western world. It is intolerable that anyone will be separated from that nectarine ocean which is inaugrated by that great apostle of Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Swami Maharaja Prabhupada.

As a messenger of that great messiah, directed by your sincere conscience you are advancing with firm step to help the helpless, and that is much encouraging to us. We have no doubt that Srila Prabhupada Swami Maharaja is doubtlessly satisfied with you, as also we are. Letter from A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada

The Bhaktivedanta Vedabase contains a letter from Srila Prabhupada in Vrindavan, in his final days, in 1977:

Srila Prabhupada has expressed his great pleasure at the preaching going on in the Eastern European Communist Countries. Now that your report has come Srila Prabhupada considers it the high point in all preaching.

His Divine Grace, Srila Prabhupada said,

Your preaching is more successful than that of all other countries. Krishna is giving us all encouragement. I am very much grateful to both of you. My Guru Maharaja was so anxious for some books to be printed and distributed. Now because of your assisting me, my Guru Maharaja is so much pleased. I am very much indebted to you both. Final Instructions from Srila Guru Maharaja

Govinda Maharaja, I have selected him my representative, and I think him fittest; I pray your assistance to him, after me, in the fullest sense, to support him. Among many affairs, he is more than meself. This is my earnest and ardent request to you; that you will support him to the fullest extent possible. This is my last request to you and prayer to you. You are a man of solid construction, constitution, so your backing is substantial.

We are all indebted to him. Anyone concerned with Chaitanya Saraswat Math, and its preaching, are all indebted to Sudhir Goswami Maharaja.

Bhakti Sudhir Goswami Maharaja, he was the pushing man; he began preaching in my favor; he got impression, and he began to preach in my favor.

In reality Sudhir Goswami is increasing the prestige of Chaitanya Saraswat Math and the real substance of the preaching of this Math. He has taken it out to the public, and that is the main thing. We are all indebted to him.
