Sikshastakam (8):

aslisya va pada-ratam pinastu mam
adarsanan marma-hatam karotu va
yatha tatha va vidadhatu lampato
mat-prana-nathas tu sa eva naparah

That type of love can never make us separate from Krishna; that sort of attitude can never make us separate from Krishna; the acme of dedication. What is meant by dedication? Dedication in its highest stage is union in separation. Ostentatiously I may be driven away from that but in heart, my faithfulness is increasing in degree. If I am punished, still I adhere to that. It means the connection, the link has become very invulnerable. Even by separation, it cannot be… by dealing any sort of punishment, it cannot be detached.
